FLBS Sales Manager Named to 40 Under 40 List for CNY
Auburn – Chris Gordon, Sales & Marketing Manger of Finger Lakes Business Services, was honored Thursday November 12 th as one of the 40 Under 40 in Central New York . The award is presented annually by the Central New York Business Journal and recognizes 40 Central New Yorkers under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to the workplace and the community. Gordon was presented the award at the 40 Under 40 luncheon held at the OnCenter in Syracuse .
Gordon was recognized for both his accomplishments in his profession as well as his volunteer work with many business and community organizations. He has played an active role in both the Syracuse and Cayuga County Chambers, the former Chairman of Cayuga County JSEC and coaches for Port Byron Little League.
“It is great to be recognized for this type of achievement,” Gordon says. “Anytime you can be put in a class with these individuals it is very humbling. I am hoping by setting a positive example in my community I can inspire others to become more actively involved.”
Earlier this year, Gordon was also recognized by the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and received the Terri Bridenbecker Young Professional Award in May 2009. This was the first year the award has been given and was awarded in recognition of an individual who is pursuing excellence in their career.
“I think the most rewarding part of my involvement is the people I get the chance to work with,” Gordon adds. “Whether it is in a business role or coaching little league, I meet people who greatly impact my life. For me, it is more about the impact you leave on your community then the accolades.”
